Lombardi

LombaridEstablished in 1970, the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center is named for legendary football coach Vince Lombardi, who was treated for cancer at Georgetown University Hospital. What began as a small clinic treating cancer patients has grown into a state-of-the-art cancer center housing more than 240,000 square feet of clinic and research space.

Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Program

Fannie MaeNearly 12,000 people in the Washington metropolitan area are without homes. More than 40% are families and one in four is a child. The Help the Homeless Program, which culminates with a Walkathon on the National Mall, raises funds to support organizations working to prevent and end homelessness in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Since 1988, it has raised more than $85 million, impacting thousands of families and children in our communities.

 

SOME

SOMESOME (So Others Might Eat) serves in a manner meant to help restore dignity and respect to the men, women and children they assist. They deliver their services in a spirit of compassion, with the belief that justice begins when we show hospitality to anyone in need who comes our way. Their goal is never to pass judgment, but to nourish, to support, to encourage and, when needed, to challenge.

 

AMIE

AmieAMIE is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to expand corporate, government, and academic alliances to implement and support programs to attract, educate, graduate and place underrepresented minority students in engineering careers.

 

Penn State THON

ThonConquering Childhood Cancer. In 1973, a small group of dedicated Penn State students held their first Dance Marathon. That year, 39 dancer couples participated and raised $2,000. Since then, THON's presence in the Penn State community has grown exponentially. THON now has 15,000 student volunteers, 700 dancers, and has raised more than $80 million, benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.

 

FosterSoft Academy

FosterSoft welcomes a new class of interns for the FosterSoft Academy. FosterSoft continues to work with colleges and universities to invest in today's youth by offering internships and cooperative education opportunities.

 

FosterSoft Supports Haiti Earthquake Victims

FosterSoft provided a donation to victims of the Haiti earthquake that occurred January 12, 2010.
